Finally jumping on let’s grind a whole orange with milk like a creamsicle and bake a cake bandwagon! Need to have some tasters test it, but just have to say it was a beautiful sight to create! Anyone else try a “grind a whole orange” recipe? Recipe thanks to @nytcooking and @samanthaseneviratne

I woke up this morning to a flood of food memories from my maternal grandma’s kitchen in Kerala, India. This is a dish that was made frequently in her home since it was nutritious and could feed the big crowds that she had around for every meal. She served this with a generous helping of sugar, the spiciness of the dish melding with the sugar to create a feast for the taste buds.
When the aroma of fresh orange zest and lemon zest mix with fresh orange juice, cardamom, and cinnamon, out emerges a cake that is just the perfect day starter or any time pick me upper. Care to join me for coffee?
Sri Lankan food that hits the taste buds with all kinds of flavor and texture bombs!! So so so good! Next time you are in Staten Island, hit this place for sure.
France meets India Galette aka a Puran Poli Galette. Puran polis are a delicacy from Maharashtra, India. These are delicious, thin, split chick pea with jaggery flatbreads flavored with saffron, cardamom and nutmeg. Galettes originated in France in the 13th century and come in an assortment of types.
