This Indian thali was a balm for the soul after an incredibly long day of hiking. Tasting so homemade, devoid of all the excessive oil featured in some restaurant meals, each dish tasting distinctive as it should, and totally worth the wait in line to get in! What are your fave places to indulge in a thali? And what leaves you disappointed?

A hike that we have been fortunate to do multiple times, a path that never fails to take my breath away (and blow my hair to new places), a place that remains devoid of tourists most of the time, and a spot that I long to keep returning to. St. David’s Head, Pembrokeshire, a spot so worth visiting.

@thomasinamiers was the earliest winner of MasterChef in the UK and also the founder of Wahaca, the Mexican eatery with many locations across the UK. It was double the joy for me to not only be able to taste her food at Wahaca in Cardiff, but also watch her teach a cooking class and share some of the delicious food she made at the @afoodfestival. If you haven’t tried her food, it’s definitely worth exploring with lots of choices for vegetarians.

Dishoom - iconic, delicious, makes you want to have four stomachs kind of food. So so so satisfying. If you are in London and have not eaten here, it’s a must do!

I’ve been an Ottolenghi fan for a very long time and each visit to London is not complete without trying another one of his restaurants. This time it was a super duper meal at ROVI. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing, apologetic since we had no control over trains running late. The staff was just superb with both their knowledge and service, the kitchen turned out dishes that were superlative. My friend and I polished off each and every dish and waddled out like two happy penguins!

An almond tart with almond flavor and texture in every bite. I’m not a huge almond fan, but this dessert was sheer perfection. Another find at @afoodfestival 😋
